Tokyo: Japan tremors with
heavy earthquake An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter Scale in Osaka, the
second largest city in Japan, Despite the low intensity, heavily property
damage was caused by powerful vibrations. Three people, including a 9-year-old
girl, were killed. More than 200
people were injured. The earthquake occurred at 8 o'clock in the town of Osaka,
where approximately 20 million people live.

on the road and the power supply stopped. A 9-year-old girl was killed by
school fire after a quake at Takatsuki in northern Osaka. Local officials said
that an elderly man (80) died when a wall collapsed and a 84-year-old man died
on the book shelf in his home. More powerful intensities occur in the next two to three days, according to government spokesman Yoshidae Suga. The Japan government has not issued any tsunami warnings.
