Canadians gave a shock to Modi
Ottawa: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi does not specifically
mention the popularity of the world. In the cases where he went abroad, he
would often see the craze in the news. Canadians, however, gave Modi a solid
shock. In a survey, they expressed their opinion that somebody knows who the
original Modi is. Angus Reid Institute (ARI) has conducted a survey on Canadians. 75 per
cent of the Canadians said that they do not know who Narendra Modi is. In the wake of the JI meeting, the survey was conducted to find out how people were aware of G7, BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa).
"Who is Modi?" ARI Executive Director Shahchi Karl said,
"We do not have proper statistics but Modi never spoke in English. That's
why he could not impress the Western media and the people. The people of Canada
are aware of the trade relations with India. But it is clear that Modi has no popularity among the people here. In
Canada he is not a big celebrity, "commented. However, Shachi said that
some of the three things that Narendra Modi knows is that he knows in three of
the areas that are influential, strategic and strong leaders.
